Director

Maz joined Lapworth Architects as a non executive Director in 2010 after having spent the last 20 years in various business enterprises, including property development/renovation, Director of a UPVC window manufacturing company specialising in both the residential and commercial markets. He has also spent time setting-up and developing International Training and Education Link (ITEL) which is a leading high-end foreign worker recruitment service. Maz is a leading voice for the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and has recently been appointed as the Chambers first Community Champion. This is an ambassadorial role within the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Group to represent nearly 80 different communities living in Birmingham. His influence has helped and continues to encourage trade and commerce between the wide ranging communities of the West Midlands. Maz hold several key public figures including Chairman of Sparkbrook traders Association, Chairman of Communities against Crime, Vice Chairman of Crime Stoppers West Midlands, Chairman of Sparkhill and Spring hill Town Centre Steering Group which is a representative of over 1000 businesses in that constituency and Chair for community based charity Secure Health and Care which focuses on deprivation and community cohesion. He has also recently been awarded with the Civic Heroes award in recognition of his outstanding services to local communities.
