Duncan joined Lapworth Architects in 2002 immediately after completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield as part of his RIBA Post Part 1 experience. Duncan returned to Sheffield to complete his RIBA Part 2 Masters Degree but continued to work at the practice out of term time and returned full time after successfully completing the course in 2004. Duncan subsequently achieved RIBA Part 3 Architect accreditation in 2007 whilst with the practice.
Duncan is approaching 10 years experience working for the company and dealing with its diverse client base which includes residential, retail, commercial sectors. He an extensive knowledge of the Planning System and experience of working on projects involving work within Conservations Areas and to historic and listed buildings including Grade I and II* properties which have included liaising with English Heritage.
Duncan’s position as Project Architect involves working on a wide variety of projects through all design and construction stages including several Planning Appeals and he has worked as part of an extended design team on large scale residential and retail projects.
