Lapworth Architects completed a PCC for a new build some 12 months ago. The certificate was urgent due to an issue with the Mortgage Company, and after many frantic calls to a number of architects; it was Michael that offered to complete a site visit, and complete within the required time. I found him to be courteous, engaging and professional, and completed the certificate well within the quoted time.I recently had further dealings with him as the mortgage company I am with wanted some further explanations on a couple of points (due to an increase in borrowings) again was time critical. Michael completed them in one day, and even sent them over to me at 11:00pm at night.I would absolutely recommend Lapworth Architects

Based on the reviews, I had higher expectations. Unfortunately, I find myself somewhat let down by your communication. Despite my initial call and subsequent follow-up emails, I've been waiting for a response regarding an extension for 20 days now. In contrast, I reached out to another architect who at least responded and promptly arranged a site vist and took measurements

Having heard that Lapworth Architects are one of the most recommended Architect's practice in the midlands, I would like to leave my contribution as well. We found Lapworth Architects after doing a google seach for Architects in Solihull.After reading their reviews, we filled out a form on Sunday afternoon.Much to our suprise, we received a call from Michael about 10am.We explained to Michael we wanted to apply to Solihull Council to have our commercial premises planning use changed from B1 (Storage) to B2 (Vehicle repair).Michael explained the whole process in simple terms and the process and told us of some potential pitfalls.He provided the price for the work which we felt was very competitive as we already had a verbal quote from a family friend.As we accepted the quote, we bank transferred a part payment and Michael arrange for the surveyor to come the following week.The surveyor came at an agreed time and did his work.Michael then contacted us within a week with the plans fully drawn up and wanted our agreement.We agreed, paid the balance and the plans were submitted by Michael.He kept us upto date with the process and the council did have one or two questions which Michael asked us and resolved with them.The end result, we had the plans passed and our commercial unit is now B2 for us to start the new business we wish.We would not hesitate to use Lapwork Architects in the future and Michael is a credit to his team.Natasha VermaDirectorNet Plates LtD

Michael was incredibly helpful in assisting with getting PCC's for our 3 flats in Wimbledon. It made a big difference having someone that was as responsive as Michael was - even providing responses to our sales agents while he was on leave. Michael and his team (notably James), have been really helpful resolving a highways planning issue. They did a great swept path analysis that resolved the issue. Lots of changes needed making and nothing was too much trouble.Our business will definitely use them again.

Although we aren't normally reviewers, Micheal and his team provided us with excellent service, so I felt compelled to do so. Unfortunately, the enforcement authorities sent us a letter regarding our extension, and we only had a very short amount of time to resolve the issue. Nonetheless, once we contacted Lapworth, they were eager to assist us in any way possible. Michael and his team submitted a resubmission application without delay and ensured all measurements were in accordance with the enforcement and planning departments. Thanks to Lapworth, we have finally been granted approval. Here's a HUGE thanks to all of you! If you're stuck in complex situations with planning troubles, I highly recommend them to anyone who needs planning applications or resubmissions.

I required some Land Registry compliant plans for some new leases I was creating for 2 flats. I found Lapworth Architects with a google search, I didn't know what to expect but I was pleased and grateful to how good the service was! Michael, John and Tumi helped us with a rear double storey extension plan. Apart from all the usual stuff done well I would especially recommend their local knowledge of Calthorpe estate. This is vital to get through all the vagaries of the planning process in Birmingham. Tumi comes up with amazing ideas and John is amazing at thinking outside the box. Michael leads the team and they respond very quickly. I would recommend this firm.

I’m normally not one for leaving feedback, however! Needed a PCC (Professional Consultant Certificate) and not knowing anything about what a PCC really was and got very confused by all the advise on line and various companies! I came across Michael from Lapworth Architects… from then on it was a piece of cake. It was all done and dusted very professionally in a matter of days. Go no further… these are the guys. Very highly recommend.

Lapworth Architects designed a substantial extension to my kitchen, and a new-build laundry, WC and garden store. The design was excellent and in keeping with my Victorian house. Throughout the work there was careful attention to detail e.g. matching bricks to existing and window design in keeping with the property.One of the most impressive aspects of Lapworth was the quick response to any query raised. Phone calls and emails were always answered promptly. Michael was very hands on when needed and adopted a problem-solving approach, in particular when negotiating with the planning authorities and building inspector. Michael is organised, approachable, collaborative and really understands good client care.I am really pleased with the end result, and will be recommending Lapworth to friends and colleagues.Ann, B17

We have appointed Lapworth Architects to act on our behalf for a change use of a property. They have work hard all the way from the leg work, architectural work, transport statement and the application process from A to z. The process was so hard and tiering due to the nature of the property, however they have done all the professional skills to get us the permission which finaly agreed by the council. A one star from me due to not being able to get a proper response. Called above company and my details were taken and passed on to Michael. He asked for a video/photos of my future project but since receiving them completely lost interest. When I prompted him he asked to arrange a visit but never actually visited the property or returned a call back. Felt I was considered not important enough for this firm. I shall take my business elsewhere.

Dealt with Michael, James and Tumi, great service and knowledge of modern designs to complement 1930’s houses. They provided excellent attention to detail and are always available when you need them. I am extremely pleased with Lapworth architects. I just told them in my amateur way what I imagined or wanted in my bungalow and they drew lovely accurate plans. Michael patiently took on board my multiple requests to make changes as new ideas came to me and he always incorporated them with even further development which shows his expertise.Michael provided monthly supervision service which I think is priceless and is the best part of hiring him!. He visited the site regularly, liaised with various other professionals involved like building control people, engineers, etc, did trouble shooting promptly, ensured costing is kept to minimum, and made sure the work is being carried out to the highest standards in a timely manner. The contractors and builders have also found this service very useful because of helpful professional advise and on-site discussions.I have noted from his late night/weekend emails/calls that Michael has worked very hard on my project- which was a total makeover of a rather dilapidated-closed- space building with poor lighting and access- and made it into a well lit, open spaced bright modern bungalow. He has always kept me well informed.Lastly, I have to say, because of his dedication, the project has carried on with practically no stress or worries imparted to me! He is well connected and tendered my project to a very good builder- for which `I am grateful. I sometimes hear other friends' stories of 'nightmare building projects' and I secretly thank my stars that I gave this project to Lapworth.I wish Michael and his team well. If I were lucky enough to acquire another property, I will promptly give the project to Lapworth again! :)

I used Lapworth after using two different architects who were unable to secure planning permission due to lack of knowledge in relation to green belt policy and lack of expertise in relation to producing reports alongside planning applications. Ultimately these were the two things that were required to get out planning application approved and we were impressed with the knowledge, expertise and professionalism of everyone we had interactions with at the firm. The firm is better value for money than others we have used as they provide better quality of service at the same price. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them. The staff have a great attitude and work hard to get you the outcome you want. We finally got our application approved and if we had come to Lapworth to start with we would not have wasted two years and a considerable amount of money trying to get planning approved. Thanks to all at Lapworth, particularly Tristan and Tumi for working so hard and providing a great customer service and quality work also thank you to Mike for the great service he has provided.Kay

I can honestly say I don't give reviews, but on this occasion I felt I must.Michael Singh of Lapworth Architects spoke on behalf of my Company's planning application at Walsall Planning committee for an Adventure Golf Course situated in the Green Belt. The application was submitted in February 2018 and at last came before committee with over 40 objections from residents. Michael Singh spoke on my behalf and obviously new his stuff. He showed he cared about this application.His passion caused others to be convinced not just because of his force of reasoning, but also because he was visibly enjoying the beliefs he wanted the committee to accept. Michael Singh won over the committee members through his professional manner. We ( me and my wife) would definitely recommend Lapworth architects without any hesitation.They have been professional and very prompt in answering our issues. They have been efficient in getting the plans we desired and did the whole application from scratch without any delays.We personally had Manraj to look into our case and absolutely none issues. He has been very efficient in chasing the application process along with updates and infact, got the application approved without any changes.
